For most areas of laminate flooring in your home a dry or dust mop may be all that is needed for regular cleaning. Use a hammer and chisel or putty knife to remove baseboards or molding near the damaged boards. Sticky or dirty sections can be spot cleaned using a rag and spray bottle without having to mop the entire floor. A little water goes a long way on a laminate floor.

Always try the least aggressive floor repair first shake or stir the laminate repair mix thoroughly fill cracks or gaps in the plastic laminate floor to just below the final surface of the flooring and let that dry two. Allow the countertop to dry. Start at the side closest to the damaged board or boards. Then lift out the damaged board and replace it with a new one.

If spacers were used between the wall and the board closest to it replace them with smaller spacers. 2 sand the bleach mark using 100 grit sandpaper. The problem with laminate floors is that too much water seeps into the cracks between the planks and can cause swelling and damage that is irreversible. The repair process is basically the same.

Rub the bleach mark with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean it.
